Adina Rudisch

Adina Rudisch

Born in Latvia, Adina immigrated to the United States in 1981. After spending 3 years in Missouri, she settled with her family in Charleston, SC. She considers herself an “observant” conservative and attends Shearith Israel Synagogue in the Highlands.

Adina earned her BA in English and Theatre from Washington University where she sang with the Vocal Jazz Ensemble and participated in numerous musical theater productions. She earned her MAT from the University of Charleston and accepted a fellowship to teach English in Paris for two years.

She and her husband Bruce now live near Toco Hills. Adina is happy to be raising two beautiful children: Noa and Benjamin, and teaching music to young children as an instructor with The Music Class. Adina enjoys Shabbat services, matzoball soup, African drumming, and laughing till she cries (particularly during Shir Harmony rehearsals).

She feels very lucky to be a part of this group. It gives her the chance to sing Jewish music, be active in the community, and spend time with wonderful women.
